Default 2010 Mazda3 2.5 Battery replacement - ISSUES!!!

I have a 2010 mazda3 2.5L I've had it for about 4 yrs now. Havent repaired much becuz much hasnt needed repaired. I did recently register it and it passed California Smog requirements.
Recently i replaced the battery and the terminals. Upon reconnection my car started up but all dash lights stayed on odometer and speedometer , gas gauge and maintenance/info dash screen do not work. Car will drive but would heavy shift into reverse, initial power steering felt stiff and stall at stops. Drove it about 20 miles and got to speed guesstimate 55. Brought it home. Disconnected both negative and pos cables. Tested the battery. 100 % good. I Let it sit for 15 mins. Reconnected. This time i started it up, same issues with lights and odometers etc. This time I did not drive. I let it run for about 20 mins. Then I turned the air on for another 10. Shut it off, waited 10 mins. Turned it on- same lights, odometers not working etc. Shifted heavy into reverse and initial power steering felt stiff. drove it about 20 miles. Never went faster than about 30 mph(guessing). No stalling this time but still not right. Shifting sometimes feels weird but when driving it feels fine, runs smooth and steady. Going to plug it into a code reader here in about an hour. Need as much help as possible. Any info or suggestions, videos, links, anything that might help. Please and thanks!!!
