Hello, I've read that the maximum Tongue Weight is 200 lbs. How close is that to the real maximum weight? My daughter wants to carry her dirtbike (2006 CRF150) using get a Class 3 hitch and a bike carrier. The issue is the total weight with fuel is closer to $250 lbs. Am I being overly cavalier doing this? What are the concerns or damage by exceeding the tongue weight this much e.g., damaging the suspension, or pulling the hitch bolts from the frame? Is there a way I can reinforce the weak spots, like using grade 8 bolts, etc.? The driving would be on the pavement with some light dirt roads to staging areas for riding.
