My 2005 Mazda 3 has run flawlessly. Suddenly, twice in 2 weeks, it would notstart. Electrical seems fine. Dash lights, interior lights, head lights all come on when ignition key is turned butno starter activity at all. Had it towed to the dealer both times after the AAA guy was unable to get it started. When the dealer tried, it started.Dealer is stumped and supposedly has engaged Mazda Tech Support,, but no anwers so far. Has anyone experienced this? Any comments are welcomed.

No, but just a thought... if you own a std trans, has anyone checked to see if the clutch pedal switch is working correctly?

 

Thank youfor your response and the suggestion. It has an automatic transmission. We ensured the shifter was firmly on park and steering wheel was not locked, but nothing has worked

 

I just had my transmission replaced on my car and the next day I went to leave the house and the same thing happened to me it wouldnt even make a sound.Everythingworked lights, radio, and everything else so i knew it wasnt the battery.I messed with it for a while and got it to start in nuetral then I went straight to the dealership.They looked at it at didnt get the cable linkage adjustment right after replacing the transmission. Since the linkage was off it wasnt allowing the car to get completly into Park therefore preventing it to start. If you can get yours to start in nuetral like I did that may be your problem maybe yours needs adjusting also. only took them about 10minutes.
