2004 Mazda 3 Idle issues

2004 Mazda 3 Idle issues
I have a 04 mazda 3 2.0 with 76K miles.
When I first purchased the car, the purge control vavle went out and was replaced under warranty. The car would idle down and stall at redlights.
The replacement worked and have no issues since....fast forward 5 years and Im having similar issues. This time however, I noticed it idling rough a few months ago. I had an airfilter and some battery corrosion so I decided to clean the battery and replace the air filter.
that was a few hrs ago, I got in and went down the road only to stall at a red light and have fluctuation RPMS and Idle issues.
did I possibly install the airfilter incorrectly or knock something loose, or is the IAC or Purge Control valve shot?
Just seems odd that its acting funny right after changing an airfilter of all things.
