Default '16 vs '17, what would you do?

Background: 3 years ago I leased a 2014 very basic Mazda 3 Sport, because I needed a economical commuter car. During one of my service appointments last year, I noticed in the showroom the 2016 GT in Titanium Flash Mica with the Appearance Package. I really liked the look. Last month I sent an email to the sales guy who leased me the 2014, telling him my lease is up in a couple of months and what would my payments look like leasing a GT in Titanium Flash Mica with the Appearance Package? He tells me they only have one vehicle that fits my request and since it's a 2016, they'll give me a $3300 rebate to lease. It also came with the Rear parking Sensor, which i didn't want, but the sales guy tells me I can disable it. So, I leased it last month with no money down and my payments set at $324. Driving the car home from the dealership, I started thinking, I might just want to buy this car outright. However, the beep on the Rear Parking Sensor started bugging me. You can read about my issue here.

Sales guy finds out I'm unhappy with the Rear Parking sensor and wants me to be happy. So, he offers to lease me a 2017 GT with the Appearance Package and no Rear Parking Sensor. He tells me they have a GT in the color I want coming in next month and they can install the Appearance Package. He also says I'll have negative equity on the trade-in, but will get me Employee pricing to help offset this. Below is the pricing breakdown for the 2017 GT with the Appearance Package being installed at the dealership. So, the question is, would you keep the 2016 or opt for the 2017?
