My 2006 Mazda 3S Touring, 2.3L, 5-spd has 60K miles on it, and the clutch is starting to go bad. Randomly 3rd gear will pop out to neutral. Since I need to replace it soon I want to upgrade to a Stage 1 for added durability. I am also looking for a different feel in the clutch pedal. 1) I want the distance I need to press the pedal to be much shorter. 2) I want more resistance when I do push it in. Any advise on who I should look at for parts? Any idea what to expect for replacement charges... ballpark?
