Default Rough Idle Issue

Hi all.

Recently purchased a 2008 1.25 Mazda 2 manual gearbox.

It seems genuine and untampered with. It drives without fault, except one thing - the idle is a bit rough.

It seems to be worse been it’s hot. Revs don’t increase, but only drop. It hasn’t stalled yet, but it has felt close. It is the same with clutch up or depressed. I can feel no fault whilst driving. I can’t hear any air whistles from hoses but I could be wrong- maybe there’s a common spot to check?

Ive replaced air filter and spark plugs. I’ve ordered some MAF sensor cleaner. It seems like it doesn’t have a fuel filter.

Has anyone experienced this? Does anyone have any suggestions?

Inspect the main engine mount, very common to fail & transmits engine vibration to the chassis, makes you think the engine is misfiring or very rough & low idle speed.
