Anyone suggest any recommended part upgrades to push out some power from the 1.3?

There really isn't much you can do; Mazda does a very good job of getting all available power out of their engines. Haven't you already asked this question here?

Hi, thank you. I asked why they were so slow even for a 1.3. was hoping you could get cams etc to help
