Default mazda 2 propblems

hi, my other half has a mazda 2, she has had it for 6 to 7 months and its a 58 plate, its a 1,4ts diesel, wen i first met her she said it was a normal diesel, it was runing low on oil so i filled it up, and noticed a nice little turbo on the side of it, i have driven it my self and it is mega slugish and dose not go like a turbo diesel, and there is nothing on the log book about it being a turbo diesel, also the turbo looking thing dose not seem to work what so ever, is there any one that could help me or give me tips or anything???

I'm sorry to say that the Mazda2 model is little known to most people on this forum. I must also apologize for taking so long to answer you.
I wish we did have the opportunity to experience the Mazda2 and all it's drivetrains in person. There are those of us from Great Britain and Australia, etc, but in general we are mostly from the US and Canada.
It has to be fairly new and still under warranty so I would suggest taking it back to the dealer for a thorough inspection. I know the 2 is not the sportiest model around, and w/a diesel is labile to be less so, but if it seems more sluggish than it should be.... the dealer may be your only option.
