Just sounds like something vibrating, probably a heat sheild around the exhaust or something thats loose.

Hi
I have exactly the same nose, not there when cold, gets louder when warm @ 2250 rpm, sounds behind the dash. The car is not moving no fan on etc.
Start from cold ...as quiet as a church mouse, by the time the blue temp light goes out it buzzes, (only at that rpm) I have had the radio out, glove box out, tightened everything, new clips... still there, definitely INSIDE the car, driving me nuts !

Default Update on buzz

After taking everything possible out, it's the plastic which also covers the l/h heater mechanism. I have put in wedges and its 75% less, I think it's now live with it, it's not heatshields, petrol tank, exhaust or anything else. The engine has a vibe point at 2200 rpm or so, anything loose all over the car will buzz.
