Hey guys i just finished doing my rear drums on my mazda 2 2013. I noticed when I finished my top spring is slightly off, from what it was before, I swear to God, this spring was the hardest spring to stretch with limited leverage, i was wondering if it might cause problems later on?
Only thing i can think of is did you slacken the manual adjuster all the way off before trying to get the top spring in? I know its hard to stretch the spring but thats why drum brakes can be a pig. I dont really have any tips apart from perseverance, take a break if your getting annoyed with it and come back when calmed down. If it were me i would try to get it into the correct hole, im not sure if it will cause any issues in the future and persoannly I wouldn't leave it to find out.
If the second picture is original then the spring has been put back in the wrong hole. Very dangerous. The adjusting rod does not seem to have been fully wound back
