Default Random spring fell off??!

Hey guys,

While driving home tonight, a spring (picture attached) fell off underneath near the pedals. Unaware of the size of it, I continued to drive home.

The car appears to drive fine, aside from a slight screech while letting out the clutch (may well have been making that noise yesterday, it is due for a service)

Can anyone identify it? / where the heck does it belong? I cant see anywhere underneath that is missing this spring,

Thanks for your help

Ryan,

Okay so it's a Clurch Return Pedal Spring.... and apparently it only comes with the whole clutch pedal kit... for around $400.... wtf?!

Does anyone know where I could possibly get one?? i've tried some auto dealers but i'm having no luck!

(I'm in aus)

Thanks

The spring looks fairly standard. Go to a hardware store with the spring and see if you can find something close to the same.

Another alternative which I recently did was going to a junkyard that has cars arranged by make and model. Perhaps a junkyard in your area has a car close enough in years and model to yours that you can go in and get that spring. Just giving you options here.

First of all the spring is a spring that pulls two things together hence the opposing spring hooks. Look underneath the dash in the pedal area where the pedals attach to the car. There will be a place where that spring will go. You'll see it.
