Mazda 2 2019 Petrol 1.5 limp mode
Hi to all,
i have a 2019 mazda 2 1.5 80K klm manual petrol and i have a consistent issue with limp mode. That engine, tcs, tpms lights are on and the engine goes to limp mode (Cannot rev, shaking etc).
So far the error show the MAF sensor which is already replaced and mazda said that the ECU should be replaced which is a significant cost for a car.
Is there anyone else experienced such an issue?

You need to or have professionally done scan your ECU in at least the 3 main areas of your ECU. Not on/y current DTCs
I also advise to not assume any part is at fault or cause and randomly start replacing them without confirming them as a problem. Doing so more than often creates additional issues added to the unresolved original ones.
As for Mazda suggestion what was there service wording exactly that they established a failing ECU?

@callisto thank you for your reply.
Their exact wording was that their mechanics, in collaboration with the factory, are 100% sure there is an issue with the ECU and that it needs to be replaced.
From my point of view, although I’m not a mechanic, the problem seems to occur mainly in heavy traffic. After a few hours, the warning lights turn off and everything works perfectly again.
So I suspect that something else might be causing the issue.

Hmm ......is that what was on your service order?
Mazda does not really "collaborate" with Mazda crop on simple diagnostic procedure findings, and they should record or authored relative service information on the service order?? The exception would be unl;ess that dealership wanted to get labor and part coverage under a warranty? And even then, you would have gotten better information from the service department?
I am not doubting what you were told only it seems summarized and 3rd party explained. I can't help without out better information. So I suggest reading my 2nd post again and get that done or find the information on your service record of your VIN?
