Corrosion to rear axle advisory on MOT
Hi all,
I'm looking to buy a 2012 Mazda2, 1.5 petrol sport, I have put down a deposit on it already but I'm waiting for the MOT/service/PDI to come through.
I Checked the new MOT certificate online and it has an advisory, saying corrosion to the rear axle. How much of an issue is this, and should it be fixed ASAP or can it wait a while til I've saved up? Any idea on costs? I'm assuming if it's an advisory, that it's only surface rust but I could be wrong ... I'm no mechanic after all. Is it possible that it would be covered by the warranty I had planned to take out?
Sorry for all the questions, any advice would be welcome. Thank you
