Car alarm goes off at random and lights don’t flash when locking/unlocking.
So the other week I replaced both front shocks on my 2010 Mazda 2.
Shortly after I did this, the car alarm keeps going off at random intervals maybe once or twice a day. I’m addition to this, the cars lights don’t flash anymore when I press lock or unlock on the key. Weirdly enough it still flashes sometimes albeit very rarely. The actual locking and unlocking still works perfectly.
So yeah I’m completely bewildered how replacing the shocks and my alarm misbehaving could in any way be related and I have no idea what I could do to fix this.
any ideas?

May not be helpful but I had a Clio that did the exact same thing, turned out to be a loose battery connecton on the negative lead. It could just be a coincidence that you changed the shocks and youve got a loose battery connection. OR It could be something else entirely.
Hope this helps.
