Default Alarm issue

Hi
Very recently bought a 59 plate Mazda 2 as a private sale.
Unfortunately, the alarm keeps going off - seems to only sound off perhaps once a day and only for 7 or 8 seconds. There’s nothing inside the car setting off the sensor and it is parked on a quiet side road. No other recurring factors that I’ve picked up on.
Can anyone help?

Had a 2002 Renault Clio that did the same thing. I did 2 things that ended up fixing the issue.

1. Removed an insurance black box that had been installed by a past owner.
2. Removed and cleaned the battery terminals and wires then re tightened.

Disclaimer; I only removed the black box because it wasn't mine, nor part of my own insurance.
I'm not telling people to remove their black boxes, I did, but that doesn't mean you have to.

Great, thanks for the suggestion.
No black box but will try the battery option.
