2019 Mazda 2 Dynamic Auto starting issues
My 2019 Mazda 2 Dynamic randomly did not want to start on Saturday. The car would make three clicks and then followed by beeping sound but no start. The dashboard showed the red car with lock image. I changed batteries of both key fobs and tried jump starting it - no luck. The car battery was changed January 2024. An auto-elec looked at it and all he told me was he “reset” the car and it was starting fine.
Now three days later, I was stuck in a parking lot because the car did not want to start again. This time it was completely dead. After I unlocked the car, I couldn’t lock it again, no lights on the dashboard - it was dead. This time the car came on when jump starting the battery. I took the car to a different auto-elec, and on his machine it said there is a steering lock issue. He also said all he did was a simple “reset” and the car started just fine. However, I am scared this will happen again as it is the second time now. Anyone else had this problem before and was it as simple as a “reset” or could there be a deeper issue? I am planning on taking it to Mazda next week.

Before going further you "MUST" check the condition of your battery. It must be load tested. The age of the battery or when you changed it has very little to do with its current state. If in the USA there are many auto parts and service shops like Firestone that will load test your battery free of charge. if the battery is not at 12.50 minimum it must be charged first.
Jumping at bad battery does not always work.
