2 whining noise when accelerating
I recently purchased a 2013 Mazda 2 with 106000km and not long after I got it noticed it whined when accelerating and shaking on idle. Took it to the mechanic for the idling and as I suspected the engine mounts needed replacing now that that’s fixed I can’t get my head off the whining sound (I know I should have got it checked when I took my car to get the mounts replaced but was more focused on that at the time). It’s basically a whining/whooshing sound when I accelerate from low speeds I can’t hear it when accelerating on a highway etc not sure if it’s not making the sound or I just can’t hear it. It also makes the same sound but in the reverse when I’m slowing down (doesn’t seem like it’s coming from the breaks though). So it’s kind a getting louder whooshing sound when accelerating and getting quieter whooshing sound when deacclerating if that makes sense..
Definitely going to take it to the mechanic again but can’t get there for another week so just wanted to see if anyone had any ideas what it was for my own piece of mind. Basically I’m worrried it’s an transmission problem and I’ve wasted my money buying the car in the first place..
Thank you!!
