Default 1.4 CD Injector issues cylinder 1 and 2 open circuit

Hi all,
Thought I'd write a little post about the injector issues I've been having on the 1.4cd. Please excuse the length
I took the air box off to take a look at the glow plugs, after having some cold start issues last winter I finally got around to it, I then put the car together as normal and went to start it and the power train warning light was on and the car was running on 2 cylinders, injectors 1 and 2 were showing as open circuit.
So I took the air box back off, which is a bit tight for space, and checked the resistance of each of the injector plugs. Cylinders 3 and 4 read 1.7k ohms while 1 and 2 were not giving a reading.
I assumed looking at the condition of the loom that I had snapped a cable. So I disconnected the loom from the central electronics, located next to the fuel filter, and checked for continuity, there was continuity so I put it back together and it started fine. Reassembled the air box and lo and behold it was down 2 cylinders again. Took the air box off and noticed that the intake pipe from the body to the back of the air box was pulling on the loom and moving the connector.
I carefully reassembled the air box making sure to be pulling on the cable to keep it straight and finally it was working again.
An afternoon wasted fixing a problem I had caused. However, I noticed straight away the power was up and the car felt the best I've ever known it.
I had hesitation issues with this before and even after changing an Injector seal it did carry on hesitating occasionally.
It is very easy to knock this when working around the air box especially on the Mazdas which seem to have less space around there (these 1.4s are well known lumps and were built by PSA and used by Ford)
If anyone has any of these symptoms it is definitely worth checking this connector as it seems to dislodge easily and cause some serious running issues. Even before I played around with it, the connection to it was loose and resulted in a slight dip in power (Although I didn't notice it until after)
Hopefully it saves someone an afternoon of stressing and swaring thinking a new injector loom was needed 😂😂
