My 2001 Mazda tribute is stuck in reverse andI cant get it out. Neither of the other gears are even present when I try to change it. It seems like sometihng snapped. Any ideas?

 

Change controls on the manual transmission are cable operated. Connect to the top of the tranmission just behind and below the air cleaner housing. Might have some one try shifting while you are looking down on the attachment points and see if anything is moving down there is if a cable has become disonnected.

 

Hello, I have a similar problem, it just happent to me yesterday,but my is an outomatic transmission, it got stock in reverse, I'm hoping I is not a mayor problem
