Default increase the performance?

Is there anything out there that will increase the performance for my 2002 6 cylinderES? I have looked at the cold air intake systems and the ECU performance chip modifiers, but do they really work? Anyone have any ideas or have tried any of these products? My vehicle seems to lack pick-up when you punch it and it just feels like its working its **** off just to do the little stuff around town.

I hate that!! Mine does the same thing. It lags and drags ***... New cams would be nice but...no.
With a chip( good one, they do make cheap ones...) complete stage 1 breathing system ( being cold air intake, exhaust manifold, cat-back exhaust) , and underdrive pullies you could expect to see about 40-50hp increase; throughout the tach. best results will come from doing everything at once. if you put the exhaust on just a pipe, you will get like 4 hp, but if your engine can breath in better that same pipe will offer a littlemore hp. think of a reverse funnel, trying to squeeze all that water from a small opening and allowing it to flow out a giant hole... no good... now, open the small hole, and bam! the water flows like crazy, in and out. thats how upgrades work. one does no good, you need everything for each section of the engine to notice a good diff. hope this helps

My '03 Tribute ES V6 runs great. All that I've done was a K&N filter in the stock air box. If you're running the A/C you can feel a difference in power. But right off a start, if you punch the throttle hard it'll spin tires pretty good. I have 90k miles on it. I also run Mobil One full Synthetic oil, I'm not sure if that helps much though.

Thats cool! I have the i-4 so i was thinking about the whole 9 yards. It has been my experience that 4 bangers need twice as many upgrades to notice a worthy difference. The AC kills the car, I have to bleed the clutch at 3k just to keep the tach from dropping on take off...
