Default headlights

ok my 01 tribute lights quit at first the high beams quit now only pass. side working on low side bulbs fine . now heres my question relay or switch , now it was parked for about a month and when it went for the first drive after it was fixed i did get a smell of elec. burning i'm thinking switch . any input would be thankful

switch or wires shorting out. Don't drive, you could set the car on fire.

I once had a Ford Aerostar and had a recall just in time. the harness was already a bit molten.....
