Question Disable Open Door Sensor

I have a 2005 Mazda Tribute. The open door sensor goes off and on intermitently. It will also go off at odds hours in the night it is going thru the battery. Is there away to disable the door sensors?

sounds like there is a short or water getting in to the switches located in the doors. Replace the switches.
The Door is Ajar! When is a door a jar! --- when it's open! LOL!

The door sensor is on the hinge located in the door. Also can't figure out which one it is.

If you turn off the interior light it shouldn't affect you battery.

The sensor goes off with or without the key in it. I was in the house and looked outside to see the interior lights on. Doors were locked and closed. I am not sure what you mean by turn the light off. It will also go off when I am driving and once I stop the interior light comes on.

Is there not a switch beside the actual light, on the interior of the roof?

Yes but there are also lights above the dash that come on. The switches don't work on them for when door is open or sensor problem
