Default Check Engine ON - P0102 Fuel Air Metering Sensor

I got a Tribute 2001 3.0L V6. The check engine light is on. Checked and its P0102 - Fuel Air Metering sensor. I cleared it and it came back. Checked with the dealership and they mentioned the evap but I want to see if I can get more info here before I take it in.
How crucial is that and can I take care of it myself?
I appreciate any comments in that regard,
Aloha,
Eyal

Try CAREFULLY cleaning it w/rubbing alcoholand a well placed Q-tip.These things are very sensitive for something that rides around on wheels, so do not jar or rub is w/too much vigor.
What have you got to lose, right?

On a Trib I'm not sure, but they are always found in the air intake system, often in or on the airbox, or possibly the hose that connects it to the throttle body. It's likely to have a wide, flat plug w/approx 7-10 connections on it.
