Ac only blowing through defrost

Ac only blowing through defrost
The ac in my wife's 2002 tribute is only blowing through the defrost vents i have changed the blower motor switch i have checked for broken ot loose hoses i have checked the blower motor and the vent door abd the arm that controls it but i can't seem to find any reson to why its not working properly any help is appreciated.
