Default 2009 Tribute engines - made by?

Hi guys, posted in another forum (tech?) just wondered if any know what company specifically makes the new engines - the 2.5 171 HP 4 cyl and the 3.0 240 HP 6 cyl.

I know or am 95% sure the prior ones were Mazda for the 2.3L and Ford's Duratec for the 3.0L 6 cyl 200HP.

I did read on an 09 with the 2.5L window stkr, that it says:
"Engine Mexico, Transmission US"

Does that mean the engine is 'assembled' in Mexico or parts and all are from there? I don't know but was just curious if ya knew.

for ex. the 09 Ford Ranger 4.0L pick up - the engine is from Germany and the tranny from France on the one I looked at yesterday.

Regards, Golf
