Unhappy 2002 Tribute ES, driving lights won't cut off

Hey guys,

My driving (fog) lights will not turn off as of Friday night. Key was out, switch was off, but they are still blazing. What the heck? I had to unhook the battery last night!

Any help? Thanks in advance....

Same thing happened to my wife's 2006 tribute. The fog lights would pop on and off on their own even if the key was out of the ignition and would drain her battery. Simple fix for me was to remove the fog light relay under the hood. I don't remember which one it was but they are labeled under the top of the fuse box cover.

Try swapping the foglamp relay with another relay in the fusebox, see if that fixes it, if yes you need a new relay, if not possible faulty switch.

HAHAHAHA! My driving lights were flashing this past summer of 2012!

The relay box found in the left side passager door needed replacement for a hefty pay. But I've found a different solution - REMOVE THE CHIP from the computer box It should be a wide blue one. That will disengage your driving lights completely until you can get that issue fix. It's literally a 1min job
