Default 2002 Mazda running horrible

i recently acquired a 2002 mazda tribute that barely stays running. first start of the morning it starts quick and runs good for maybe 2 seconds, then the idle surges from 300-1000rpm for about 5 seconds, then it will go down to about 300rpm and just barely stay running, when giving it gas it bogs dies and then cranks and cranks and finally with fart its way alive and barely run again until given gas again. so far things i have checked is injectors are firing correctly. no vacuum leaks. fuel pressure over 50psi at the rail. 13.8 volts at the fuel pump. new spark plugs. i checked for spark it seemed fine but im not gonna confirm that yet. no smoke coming out of exhaust when running. when i unplug the maf sensor it instantly dies. im at a loss. all parts are oem.

PLEASE HELP!

There is more areas to look in your ECU , check the I/M monitors and if your scanner has access look at permanent DTCs .
If as you mentioned fuel trims or O2 that are not within operating reporting specifications then you should see something in your ECU.

hey sir i did some more work today on the vehicle. no pending or stored codes. when im looking at live data what should i be looking for? also not sure if this helps at all but once it dies the first time it will not start back up unless i remove the fuel pump fuse then it will run for a second until there is no pressure left in the fuel system then i put the fuse back in, crank and it will start for a second and then die immediately. also i have 100% confirmed all injectors are firing when supposed too and using a slomo video i can see they all seem to be spraying identical to eachother. when it comes to spark, i did get all coils to fire in there designated plug but im not certain the spark is strong or consistent throughout all 6. i do have videos of each coil being fired along with videos of the injectors being fired. thank you!

ive also confirmed the fuel pressure at the rail is 60psi when priming or cranking and goes down to 50 psi when sitting there dead.

[img alt="Would you consider this spark weak? This is how all coils spark across all 6 cylinders. I took live readings of all my o2 sensors and fuel trims I’m just not 100% sure what is in and not in spec.

Thanks!"]https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mazdaforum.com-vbulletin/920x2000/img_0354_583bb34991ca0fbc8531e74f63b29afe38f75bfd. png[/img]
