2001 Tribute Horn and Cruise Went Out
I recently replaced my brake booster and found out a couple months later that the cruise control doesn't work. I've read all the post and brought the car to the dealer, a local shop and a private mechanic and nothing. They all seem to think it's in the steering column and it's not related to me replacing the brake booster. After I brought it to the private mechanic and drove it home I notice the horn wasn't working either. Not sure how long that has been out.
I've checked all the fuses, nothing.
Does anyone have any suggestions if it might be in the steering column?
When I press the cruise nothing lights up on the dash. So it's got to be in the steering column, right?
By the way after replacing the brake booster the brakes still suck. You have to push it down to the floor to get it to stop.
Thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike..I'm not an expert but you might want to check your wiring harness from the steering column for a loose or damaged connection. Some of the folks here with cruise control problems have found the switch behind the brake pedal may need to be adjusted out to meet the pedal. As far as your brake system it sounds like you might have air in the lines. Hope this helps ...
