Default 2001 Tribute ECU Fire Help

My dad's 2001 Tribute had the ECU short circuit and catch on fire. It damaged the ABS module and the harness that is near the ABS harness. They are having a hard time getting a hold of what they call the engine harness. I called a few dealerships in Colorado and they have what they call an "engine harness" which is composed of grounds to the starter, battery and a few other spots. The shop working on my dad's car (in Louisiana) is saying this "engine" harness is more complicated than that. Can someone give me some better information as to which harness is actually damaged? I can try to get pictures but my dad is not too technology savvy. The ABS module and the harness near that module were the stuff that got damaged. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

This is from

http://consumerguideauto.howstuffwor...-tribute-9.htm

2001-04 Tribute w/ABS: The ABS module connector may have missing or dislodged wire seals. This condition could allow contamination to enter the module connector, creating a potential for an electrical short. Dealers will inspect the wire harness connector to the ABS module for missing or dislodged wire seals.

Maybe Mazda will be responsible somehow since it is a recall. Good luck to you.
