jefftribute why are you promoting this scanner on three threads all new posts when you joined? Are you trying to promote a product that you sell or have an invested interest in? BTW IMHO Scotty K should retire he gets a lot of things incorrect, inaccurate and in some cases just wrong not to mention he is very opinionated

Update *
I took the car in and and it read no faulty codes: however,

The mechanic explained what is going on and this may help someone else out.

Apparently living near the coast and not driving too much has caused some part of the Body Control Module and dash board to have contact issues.
It is also what has caused problems with my interior lights on the relay to malfunction.
another message board confirmed my suspicions as others have similar issues with their cars although not the exact issue.

I'll wait till summer and give the module a good contact cleaning and see if that remedies it.
