Hi, I'm a proud new owner of a 02 Mazda Tribute, its my first car, got it for my 16th Birthday. The car has everything possible on it except remote start. I would like to add one on to it. Will the newer mazda remote start systems work on it or will I have to get one from like circuit city with firedog installation? The only thing im worried about with those off-branded systems is, I dont want them to mess up my current alarm, and keyless entry so I was wonderine if the mazda one would be able to be installed with out having to tear out my current alarm and put in a "new" one.

 

I'd recommend a Compustar brand remote start and alarm system. The 02 doesnt really have an alarm and if you dont want to have to worry about having it broken into, it's well woth the investment. Should cost about $400.
