my rx8 has had a pronounced ticking noise at idle. about a week ago it stopped. this weekend while changing plugs, wires and coils I was shocked to
see that one spark plug wire was completely off. the car has just 34,400 miles .the ticking had to be coming from a loose plug wire and stopped ticking when it came completely off. I am so lucky I didn't kill the cat with all the raw fuel that was pouring thru the 2ed port. this should also count for the poor mileage I have become used to getting.
