I am thinking about getting a 04 Mazda rx8.....i currently have a 90 Miata. I like it, but it is 17 years old, air doesn't work, etc......anyway, I was just curious would an rx8 be a good purchase? I have heard positives and negatives....

 

an rx8 is a great car, but it jus cant compete versus Car and Driver's Most fun car to drive...the only thing you have to do to your Miata is put a Gude Head Package with Throttle Body and Camshafts and maybe a Racing Beat Dual Exhaust and then a K&N Fuel Injection Performance Kit and then it would probably have as much power or more than the RX8 while still bieng fun to drive...

 

I would, the RX8 is a great car, loads of fun to drive, fairly reliable.. it's true what they say about the gas mileage though.

 

I wouldnt get an rx-8 or any sports car for that matter used unless i realy knew the owner took great care of it. Sports cars are meant to be driven hard and usually are. How many miles are on the one your looking at?
