Default Rx8 r3

Can someone give me tips on how to maintain my rotary engine... It is my understanding that the R3s don't need as much "loving" as the original rotary engines .. So questions I have are... Do I have to start it every day? Do I have to reach certain RPMs every time... WHAT OIL SHOULD I USE.. Do I Rev it before turning it off .. And if I want to store it for about a month... What steps should I take to keep the engine good?

The best advice is to follow the recommendations in your Owner's Manual; if you don't have the manual which came with the car, I believe you can download one from the Mazda USA web site.

Only use Genuine Mazda Rotary oil.

Rx8s have oil injection, be prepared to regularly add engine oil.

No, you don't need to start it every day, however, whenever you do start it, do not turn it off until it has warmed up.

RX8s need a good spirited drive on a regular basis. Continual low RPM driving is detrimental to their longevity.
