Default Mazda rx8 won’t accelerate

Hey guys, I’m new to this forum. So I’ve recently got my engine rebuilt & bridge ported and a minor upgrade Apex seals because I plan on going boost in the future. But anyways back to the problem at hand so I put everything back together. And it’s idling rough and the moment I step on the gas pedal to move it shuts off on me. Do you guys know what would be causing it to do that? I really would love the help!

by the way my spark plugs is new, battery is new, alternator is new, coil pack is in great condition.

my number is 4079230344 feel free to text me or video call and I can show you exactly what I mean. #RotaryBros!

Has it been tuned for the modifications?

So here’s the update I’m able to drive my car now. But the idle is rough, it is stuttering when I get to 5 Rpm and higher and it keeps cutting off on me. But to answer your question.. yes I got it tune but I’m starting to believe that it wasn’t tuned properly

Time for new coils (plugs + coils + wires).

Try what 3madness is suggesting and in addition, check your MAF, air filter and throttle body.

If your fuel pump is more than a couple of years old, change it.

It's possible some crud in the fuel system got dislodged and may be clogging your filter.
Especially if you were already premixing.

I would get about 3 years out of fuel pumps & batteries, and I now treat them as maintenance items like coils and plugs.

Check your vacuum lines.
Classic rough idle cause.
