Default How to inflate a car tire without air tank or air compressor?

Normally if i was at my house this would be an easy fix, but since i am not i dont have any means of getting my air compressor or air tank. They are 4 hours away. I was wondering if anyone had any GOOD ideas on how to inflate my car tire without obtaining a 55 dollar towing fee to a tire shop.

It's not a normal engine. It's a rotary engine.

CLICK ON THESE: Animated Engines - Wankel (--Rotary--) http://www.nationalspeedinc.com/gear...rotary-engine/
http://www.animatedengines.com/otto.html (normal 4 stroke engine)

Normal engine requires 2 Crankshafts revolutions per power stroke. The rotary engine only requires 1 revolution.

Technically speaking, the Wankle engine in the RX-8 has zero cylinders. What it has instead is two three-sided rotors which roughly equates to six cylinders in power output and fuel consumption. That said, the Wankle engine isn't known for its fuel efficiency, so even when compared to a modern V6 or I6 engine, it stacks up poorly from a fuel economy perspective. The flip side of course is the power to engine size and weight ratios; from both of those perspectives, the Wankle is extremely efficient compared to pretty much any piston engine.

... with far less torque than a normal 6 cylinder, especially a straight 6, but very efficient horsepower. In other words, they can't hit the wall hard, but they can hit it fast.

They are also known as "dirty" engines as they are polluting. They use (burn) oil on purpose, and tend to run fuel rich. They also require very exact maintenance scheduling in order to be reliable over the long haul.

They are great engines in many ways, but not really everyone's cup of tea.

Kind of typical for pretty much any engine that makes it's power in the higher RPM ranges. Consider the following:

Car/Engine ----------------------- Peak HP @ RPM --- Peak TQ @ RPM
Mazda RX-8 Wankel 1.3 liter ------- 232 @ 8,500 ------ 159 @ 5,500
Honda S2000 Inline-4 2.2 liter ----- 237 @ 7,800 ------ 162 @ 6,800
