I have a s4 TII that i drive only on the weekends. recently when i started the car there was this horrible smell. i got out and poked my head everywhere and the exhaust seems normal. but when i popped the hood the smell just seemed to come from whole engine bay. I'ts not coolant because i know what it smells like...
I don't know how and why my rx7 is stinking the area and where ever i drive. Has anyone ever experienced this? what should i do?

What kind of odor is it. Burning rubber, hot smell, etc. Any more description of what it may smell like will probably help.

 

Just hope that a cat did'nt **** on your block! If it did just throw the car away cuz it's over.

 

^^ for your first post, try making it make sense. You can wash engines off.

 

what kind of smell? the bad smell may be caused by fuel mixture in the engine that is too rich. The catalytic converter may be faulty but before you replace it the “too rich” fuel mixture needs to be corrected.
