Default starving for gas

i have a 91 rx7 gtu with the 13b engine and it just lost all of it's power like it's not getting enough gas and it's running like it's not firing right also, but i've already checked the electrical and checked the fuel filter and spark plugs but i still can't figure it out so if anybody has any sort of advice it be greatly appreciated thanks

The two most common causes for power loss on RX-7 would be plugged exhaust due to melted down catalytic converters and loss of compression in one of the rotor housings.

there'd be more symptoms to low compression that just loss of power. I have low comp. myself.

I said loss not low. Have heard that story quite a few times that was just driving down the road and all the sudden had no power to accell. A compression check reveals that one of the rotor housings has no compression as if something went thru housing and took out all of the apex seals. It would of course idle like crap with only half the engine working.
Idle is usually fairly normal with a restricted exhaust.

apex seals is right up there with engine rebuilding. do it yourself an engine rebuild kit (goes ahead and replaces apex seals, o-rings, side seals and other small things) set's you back about $1300 getting another company to do it ranges between $1000 and $8000 on rx7world.com depending on what you want, how much you want replaced, and if it's FB FC FC turbo, or FD.

what do you think of putting a different engine in that because my aunt has a mx-6 with a good engine and is willing to give it to me free. how difficult would it be to drop it in there and where could i find a harness to work for it and i'm not worried about motor mounts and space because i'll make space anyway just thought i'd ask for your opinion thankx for all the help
