Default soft clutch pedal '90 rx7

hey everyone. my clutch pedal is soft and goes to the floor easily. my car will still start but when i try to drive it, its hard for the gears to engage when i try to shift. anyone have any ideas on what it could be? and any ideas on how i can tell? thanks! i have a 1990 rx7 non turbo with around 120k on it. i was given this car and he didn't tell me anything about it. no maintenece records, nothing...i don't know jack about rotary engines either...[sm=headbang.gif]

first take a look at the clutch master and slave cylinders. My clutch did the same thing about 6 months ago and the master and slave cylinders were bad. Cheap and relatively easy fix.
