Hey ALL - New to the boards and glad I found it!!!!

I have a 1988 RX7 SE I just ressurrected from a long 8 year nap. haha Long Story but I got her up and running nicely.

A problem I had years ago and still now are the door locks.

I bought this 88' in 1993 and the passenger side door was replaced. I never got or had a key for that door. Oh well ok.
I'd like to fix that issue.

But my bigger issue it Driver Side Door Lock. I can put the key in but I have to giggle it just right to catch it to turn.
The key has even gotten a teeny bit twisted from this. I am afraid to lock it, worried I won't be able to open it sooner or later.

Where can I get a replacement for this?
Or any advice on my dilemma????

Best thing to do would be to get a lock set from your local dealer.

 

when you say "Lock Set" - Do you mean ask the dealer for a pair? One for each door?

It comes with a key?

Is it a reasonably easy install ?

Are you just needing for the left door? Or would you rather have a set that includes both doors, hatch & ignition. All would use the same key.

Basically I would like for the drivers door. If it's easy enough then I would also pick-up one for the passenger door as well.

The key I use for the ignition is working fine, I'd rather not mess with that at all.
