Removal of the Rear Seats

Removal of the Rear Seats
Has anyone removed their rear seats? I got a seat cover set and pulled the front seats and installed the covers and they came out nice. I was going to pull the rear seats but the heat (108 degrees) got the best of me and I called it a day. I'll see about pulling the rear seats this weekend. I couldn't tell what all I had to remove.

not sure, mine's a two-seater. i have removed some seats before though. some of them just pop out with no hardware, and some of them have a few screws. odds are that the bottoms just pop out and the backs un-bolt.

try to flip them down. Remove metal trim pieces that is near the tops of the seats (this hides's the carpet edges). Remove the 4 plastic plugs that fastens the carpet to the seatbacks & remove carpet. Remove screws that attach seatbacks to the mounting brackets. They will be on the sides & the center bracket. Lift up the seatbacks... Those fastening bolts at the bottom use either 8mm or 10mm sockets.

RE: Removal of the Rear Seats
I don't want to remove them, I just want to re-cover them. They're spacious if your under eight years old. It all depends on the the highth of the front passenger. My wife is about five foot eight and with the seat scooted up but still confortable for her, the car seat fits fine in the back. It's about the same leg room as the backseat of my camaro.
