Default Need help with 88 TURBO

Hey i do not personally own a rx7 but my friend recntly bought a 1988 turbo editon for 700 bucks... guy said it did not run and motor was bad.. the car sat for 7 years..has not rust and only 74,000 miles on it...so we took it home and started messing around with it to find that the motor is not bad and the fuel pump had just went out...so not i have some ?s to ask.

1. The add coolent light keeps coming on and buzzing and is annoyin is hell to drive but the coolent level is fine it does not over heat.
2. It wont let it go past around 4500-5000 is this because of the add coolent?

well any help would be appreciated since new to mazda and he is also.

Thanks

You can easily replace the coolant sensor that I'm sure has just gone wrong. It should be on the radiator, chaeck it for cracks and make sure the wire is good. As for the RPM hesitation I'm not too sure, you and your friend should check out www.rxx7club.com fo questions, those guys are geniouses and they'll help you pretty quickly. Search first for coolant issues before you post as you may get flamed. Sorry I could not help too much but good luck.
