Default I have a bad feeling about my car!!!

okay... heres the info about whats going on with my rx7... sorry if i bother all u guys to much... its just that i want my rx7 top shape running again and not dying the next day... but anyways.... my rx7 86 has problems starting at times.... it works for a few days and then suddenly my car just wouldnt start no more... it rotates but it just doesnt start up for some reasons... im not sure but if u have any clue or idea.. plz reply back... thanks a bunch...

sounds like flooding. Next time it doesn't start, pop the hood and remove the "ENG INJ & ENG COMP" fuses, crank for a few seconds then stop. Repalce the fuses and crank again. If it starts the car was flooded and you may have leaky injectors. A cheap fix other than replacing injextors is to wire a switch to the fuel pump and to cut it off, crank, turn it on crank and start. Turning it off when the car is off is also a good anti theft device if the switch is kind of in a hard place to locate in your car. Good luck.

well try the deflooding procedure first. I can't think of another thing it would be now maybe a fuel filter or something?

should i get new fuel pumps and all the other fuel things for my car so i wont have problems on it no more??? but if you have a better idea, explain...

well if it IS flooding the most common problem is leaky injectors. They cost alot to replace though, so a fuel pump cutoff switch would be the cheapest remedy.

Yeah, try the unflooding procedure before you go throwing unnecessary parts & money into the car.

If the car is flooding and wont start, you can usually hold the gas pedal to the floor while turning it over and it will start, it puts the car into clear flood mode. Ofcourse this wont fix the problem that your car floods it will just get it started for you.
