mazda7, you can do anything to any car to make it as fast as a turbo rx-7 with the right mods. turbo charger, CAI, catback exhaust, headers, new ignition coils and such are a place to start. not sure about specific products for the rx-7 but check around the forum, chances are its out there

if you increase the output of your fuel injectors, get a new fuel pump, custom machine a stronger excentric shaft, get reinforced stationary gears and 3mm apex seals with a heavy port job, you could reline around 13k RPM. It'd be crazy fun and make maybe 230 hp (a lot for N/A) but it would cost more than the turbo and maybe break the transmission or half shafts. You'd want a TII rear end fromn the tranny to the LSD and back, then you'd want the TII brakes, TII wider tires, and a better intake and exhaust too. Even if you got the power a cheaper way, if you reach turbo power, you're going to want turbo tranny and rear to handle it. I suggest getting adonor TII and swaping everything to the N/A subframes/body.
