i have an '86 RX7 and when i use my windsheild wipers, only one setting will work. is this a problem with the switch itself or would it be a wiring problem?

 

I have the same problem in my 1991 convertible. I have researched and found that it is a bad relay on the wiper switch and can be replaced with some work as opposed to spending 100 bucks on a new one.
