Cool 85 RX7 intermittent electrical problems

Has anyone experienced the following, and if so have any solutions?
1. After driving for at least a half hour, suddenly a tone starts to go off, seemingly like a warning signal. No warning lights are displayed, and all gauges show normal readings. Sometimes it starts out low and then increases in volume, other times it starts at a high volume. Turning the car off and restarting silences the noise, but it comes back at various times. I have not experienced this yet with rides less that 30 minutes or so.
2. After washing my car and storing in a garage for a couple of days, an attempt at a start appears to immediately drain the battery. Hooking up to a charger for awhile and then using the jump start usually gets it going again. This only happens after a wash....may happen if it got rained on but I don't take it out in the rain.

Thanks!
