Ok , just got the car and it runs and drive excelent ! ... one small thing is that if you hit the gas pedal and floor it the car will die ! , if you get it above 1500 rpm the problem dosent seem to ocur but i am worried about what it could be . i am not familiar to rotary motors and i dont want to have any problems with the car . i have yet to change the fuel filter and i dont think it would hurt to rebuild the carburator either .
what could do this ??
have a 1985 rx-7 gs with a 4bbl 12a motor

Check the accelerator pumps in the carburetor. Between those and sticking needle valves is one of the few problems that are common on that carb. With engine off, take off the air cleaner top and look down into the primary venturi's as you operate the throttle. Should get a goood strong spray of fuel into each side.

awsome . yeah that fixed it . i am pretty sure the carb hasnt been cleaned in a while
