84 rx7 help

Default 84 rx7 help

i just got a 84 rx7 gsl and the L coil doesn't have power,is it supose to i just replaced it ? and when i take off the L1 and L2 plugs when running it doesn't effect the engine. is their a problem or is that normal. and it is hesitating when giving it gas, and doesn't seem like it has any power when driving is this related

and the L1 L2 plugs don't have any spark is thi normal plz someone help me

No that is not normal to not have spark from the Leading coil. The Leading spark is the primary ignition source and Trailing is just a clean up spark due to the elongated shape of the combustion chamber. Both coils should have 12 volts to them at the Black w/ white stripe wire at all times the key is on. This is the 'positive side' of the coil. The other side should flash a test light during cranking and with engine running and is connected to the ignitors mounted on the side of the distributor.
