Default Tire Size help!!

Does anyone know if a 195/60R15 size tire will fit on a 2002 Mazda Protege LX without any rubbing/brake issues/tranny problems??

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Don't know for sure if they will cause rubbing (althought I kind of doubt it), the 195/60 R15 WILL cause a 4% speedometer error. Said another way, even though you speedometer says you are going 70 in a 65, the police officer manning the radar gun will see that your true speed is closer to 73.

Thanks for the quick reply shipo!
I'm not really too concerned about the speedometer being off. I'm really just concerned about damaging the car or comproming my safety if the different size will affect the braking capabilities.

The 2002 OE tires are 195/55R15 which is roughly 2 centimeters shorter than the 195/60R15 tires. Thanks for the help.

Just curious, why are you upsizing your tires?
